 Buck Run Pottery is~

Functional and Decorative stoneware produced collaboratively by Don and Lee Jackson.

Located in the mixed deciduous forest of beautiful southwestern Arkansas on the homestead land of Don’s grandfather, their home and studio have meshed into one entity allowing them to be in constant production of original clay art.

Working in stoneware clay and firing using the oxidation method, Don and Lee produce a full range of functional items and an extensive array of décor.

Many satisfying hours of hand building and carving are involved in the production of these one of a kind items. The wheel thrown functional pieces are safe and durable and intended for everyday home use.

Calling on his background as a chemistry teacher, Don has developed a wide range of   original glaze formulas.

These glazes range from a high gloss carrying bright color to a rustic matte in earthy tones that is reminiscent of rocky slopes and desert scenes.

Marketing of their wares takes Don and Lee to many states in the nation, exposing them to the creativity and camaraderie of many highly accomplished artisans at a variety of festivals throughout the year.

See the Show Schedule page to find us at a festival in a town near you.

After a collaborative effort at production and display of their wares for 19 years, Don and Lee are more excited and enamored of their chosen field of endeavor than ever.

The only thing that competes with their time working with clay is their time spent working with the soil ~ tending extensive orchards and gardens, as well as, processing of the bounty from both.

" Our favorite thing is dirt!

We love growing things and making things and we hope we are enhancing the lives of others by sharing the results."
